hmmmm....

A jury of whose peers? I can't decide whether I would rather be on a jury with him, or have him on the jury deciding my fate...

All joking aside, I love it that he showed up in the first place.

i'm embarrassed to admit i look at lolcats.

But this one and this one made me laugh.

Please stop judging me.

Never mind. I deserve it.

plan ahead.

My birthday is coming up and I thought I'd help out those who want to buy me a present. Now, I do realize that my present won't be on time for my actual birthday on May 13, so I am willing to celebrate my birthday after the auction. Say, June 15? That way I could even share my birthday with Carol. Some of you might think I am not capable of being patient enough to wait a month and 2 days to celebrate my birthday. You are wrong. For example, my birthday present came in the mail last week and have I opened it yet? Nooooo.... I was even given the option to open it early and I said Nooooo....

So trust me, I can wait for this.

Just let me know what you think.

p.s. I would be happy with anything from the auction. But I really like handbags. Especially straw handbags.

on seeing a big ol' dumpster in the middle of the road.

"Nice place for a dumpster."

"That should be Detroit's motto."

try harder.

I decided I need to try to write about stuff other than baseball. I'm pretty sure I'm failing. It's not my fault. Doesn't everyone want to know what I think about baseball? Stop reading then, jerk.

Gary Sheffield. I will miss him. People don't like him because they think he is a dick. Oh, and because he didn't play so well last year. When I saw him at spring training I thought he looked okay. But then when I saw his stats, I realized I only saw him play in 2 games, or was it 3, and I was just happy to see him, no matter what he did, and he sucked during spring training.

Here's the thing about spring training. I love spring training. I go to Florida to watch spring training games in person. However, I don't really care about the outcome of spring training games. Sure, it is exciting to see the Tigers win. And it's frustrating if they suck. Unless something spectacular happens, I think most people forget spring training ever happened once the regular season begins. I just think spring training games are important for reasons other than winning and losing. It would be interesting to see if there is any correlation between spring training season record and regular season record. My guess is there isn't. Last weekend I was sharing my viewpoint with my cousin and he said, "That makes sense. The Lions were 4-0 for last year's exhibition games."

Back to Gary. I enjoyed watching him play baseball. I feel like he is a really smart player who doesn't make a lot of mistakes. When he isn't beating up players from the other team, he seems to be a good guy. I am pretty sure I haven't read or heard anything about him not getting along with his teammates or being a prima donna in the clubhouse.

I definitely have love in my heart for Thames. But really people. He's no Gary.

sorry i didn't send you a card.

Has April fool's day caught on as a Hallmark holiday yet?

I'm not such a big fan of April fool's day. Maybe it's because I've never been good at coming up with a good joke. Maybe it's because I've been known to fall for a joke or two. Maybe it's because I'm already way too skeptical and question most of what I read on the internet and today I really don't know what to believe. I read a lot on the internet.

It's gonna be a long day.

Happy April fool's day!
