Detroit Tigers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Dunedin Stadium, Dunedin, FL
4-6
I didn't really care that the Tigers lost. I left Detroit at 7:15 a.m. It was 50 degrees but the temp was steadily dropping. By the time the game started at 1:05 p.m., the announcer dude said it was in the 30s in Detroit. It was sunny and hot in Dunedin. If I had balls, I would have sweated them off at the game.
Before the game my aunt and uncle ran into someone they know and introduced me to him. When we got to our seats, my uncle pointed to the name on the jersey of the guy sitting in front of us. It was the name of the dude I just met, Pat Hentgen. I shook hands with a Cy Young winner and didn't even realize it. Doh! Note to self: hang out with Uncle Larry more often, he knows everyone.

New York Mets vs. Detroit Tigers
Joker Marchant Stadium, Lakeland, FL
2-7
This was a really fun game to watch. It was a really windy day and several Tigers hit home runs to beat the Mets. We also got our first look at Ordonez and Cabrera. Bonderman was supposed to pitch but was pulled due to soreness or something. So we got to see Jon Kibler pitch.
During the game they announced the winner of free pizza row. I couldn't believe it when they called out my mom's ticket. Yay! We got free Little Caesar's pizza. I gave mine to a guy sitting behind me.

Detroit Tigers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
McKechnie Field, Bradenton, FL
4-6
This game was definitely disappointing. The Tigers were actually winning until Zach Miner came in and did his best WTF Todd Jones impression. I know, it is just spring training and I'd rather he get his Todd Jones moves out of the way before the season begins. It was still a bummer. I was also frustrated because it was cold out there! And not just cold for Florida. It was barely 60 degrees, super windy and not very sunny. My parents have some pretty funny photos of us freezing our asses off. I'll try to steal some and post them here. I didn't take many photos during the game, probably because I couldn't stop shaking.
Justin Verlander started the game. I thought he looked good, no major problems. We got to see Craig Monroe play for the Pirates as a non-roster invitee. It's always fun to see ex-Tigers and I wish them all well. Except for Kyle Farnsworth. I think he's an idiot. But his red neck while he pile drives a player from the opposing team into the ground makes me laugh so I guess maybe I wish him well.
